Analytics & Performance
How the All Platforms analytics view actually works — real metrics, views and impressions, the trend chart, top posts, campaigns, and how refreshing data works today.
All Platforms vs. an individual platform
Analytics & Performance opens on "All Platforms" — a cross-platform view with four tabs (Overview, Posts, Platforms, Campaigns). Choosing a specific connected platform from the pill bar above it switches to that platform's own dedicated view instead, covered in Platform Analytics — it's a different screen, not a filter applied to the same one.
The Overview tab
Four real KPIs, computed for whatever date range is selected (7, 30, or 90 days):
- Published posts — how many scheduled posts actually went live in the window, and how many of those have metrics captured.
- Impressions / views — summed across every platform that reported a metric for that window.
- Engagement — likes + comments + shares + saves, summed the same way.
- Engagement rate — total engagement divided by total impressions/views.
"Impressions / views" combines each platform's own primary reach metric under one number — YouTube and TikTok report views, Instagram and X report impressions. It's a genuine sum of real numbers, not an estimate, but it means the combined figure (and the engagement rate built from it) is weighted toward whichever connected platform is capturing the most reach, not an even blend across platforms.
Below the KPIs, "Captured metrics over time" is a real trend chart over the same window, and "Top-performing post" shows the single highest-engagement post Creaon can attribute to an actual published post, linking out to it when a URL is known.
When a connected platform doesn't report per-post metrics at all (see Platform Analytics for which ones and why), the Overview tab says so directly in an honest capability note rather than silently showing a zero.
The Posts tab
A flat table of every individual post Creaon has captured metrics for in the selected window, across all platforms at once, with a Platform column so they stay distinguishable.
The Platforms tab
One card per platform you've published to, each with its own post count and its own reach/engagement/rate — using that platform's correct reach label (Views vs. Impressions) rather than a generic term. A platform with posts but no captured metrics yet says so plainly instead of showing zeros. YouTube's card also carries its extra breakdowns (see Platform Analytics).
The Campaigns tab
Grouped by a free-text campaign name you optionally attach when scheduling a post on the Content Calendar — there's no separate "campaigns" feature to set up elsewhere. Posts, published count, impressions/views, engagement, and the top post are all rolled up per campaign name.
Refreshing data
Analytics refresh in Creaon today is manual, not on a schedule — there's no background job quietly updating your numbers between visits. Choosing "Refresh metrics" runs the sync for your account right then, for every platform that supports it.
One click actually runs two independent checks: pulling fresh metrics for posts Creaon has already published or matched, and separately refreshing each platform's profile/follower/channel state. A failure in one never blocks or hides a success in the other, and any platform that needs reconnecting is reported honestly rather than silently skipped.
What you'll see with no data yet
- Nothing connected and nothing published — "No published content yet," pointing you to connect a platform and publish something.
- Connected but nothing published yet — the same empty state, pointing you to publish first.
- Published, but never refreshed — "No metrics captured yet — run 'Refresh metrics' above."
- No campaigns tagged — "No campaigns yet. Add a campaign name when scheduling a post on the Content Calendar."
