Brand Identity
Your visual and written identity reference — manifesto, style, typography, and colour tokens — and how it relates to Brand Brain.
What Brand Identity is for
Brand Identity is a single reference for how your brand looks and reads, separate from Brand Brain's strategic positioning. Where Brand Brain answers "who you serve and why," Brand Identity answers "what this looks and sounds like when someone sees it."
What's currently supported
Brand Identity today manages exactly these fields, all editable from Edit/Set Up:
- Manifesto — a short statement of what you believe and stand for.
- Visual style — layout, spacing, shape language, and mood, described in words.
- Imagery style — photography, illustration, screenshots, or diagrams, described in words.
- Colour tokens — up to 8 named colours, each with a hex value and an optional role label.
- Typography — a primary typeface name and a monospace typeface name.
- Guidelines — free-form do/don't rules, one per line.
Brand Identity stores typeface names and hex colour values, not uploaded font or logo files — there's no asset library, logo upload, brand-kit versioning, channel sync, or accessibility scoring in the current implementation. If a section here doesn't cover something you expected, it isn't built yet rather than hidden somewhere else.
How it relates to Brand Brain
Brand Identity and Brand Brain are separate records, but both feed the same AI context: your manifesto, visual style, and imagery style are included alongside your Brand Brain positioning whenever Content Studio, the Voice & Tone rewrite tool, or the AI Brand Strategist assemble context.
Exporting your brand kit
Brand Identity → Export Brand Kit compiles your niche, positioning, and promise from Brand Brain together with your identity fields and colour tokens into a JSON file, generated fresh from your live data with a one-click copy — useful for pasting into a design tool or sharing with a collaborator.
