Connected Accounts
What connecting a platform (via that platform's own OAuth authorization) actually means, why capabilities differ between platforms, and how to reconnect or disconnect.
What Connected Accounts is
Connected Accounts is where you authorize Creaon to work with your platforms — YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Twitch, and Facebook today. Facebook connects one Facebook Page you manage (never a personal profile) — Page analytics and publishing are coming in later updates. Spotify is shown as Coming soon and can't be newly connected yet. Each tile shows whether it's connected, when it last synced, and what to do next.
Connecting a platform
Choosing Connect on a platform sends you to that platform's own sign-in and permission screen — the standard OAuth authorization screen for that platform, never a Creaon-branded login. Approving it brings you back to Creaon with the connection active.
A platform can show as "Connection temporarily unavailable" if Creaon's server-side setup for it isn't ready yet — that's a Creaon-side readiness state, not something about your account.
What "Connected" actually means
Connecting a platform does not automatically mean every Creaon feature works for it. Connection, analytics, and publishing are three separate capabilities, and a platform can support them in different combinations — see each platform's own article for exactly which apply.
- Connected — the account is authorized and stored; this is the baseline every other capability depends on.
- Analytics — Creaon can read performance or account data from the platform. Depends on the connection, plus (for some platforms) additional provider-side approval.
- Automatic publishing — Creaon can publish scheduled content to the platform without you doing anything further. Depends on the connection carrying the right permission, and often on media requirements specific to that platform.
Spotify today only reaches the first of these — it can be connected, but has no analytics and no publishing surface in Creaon yet.
Reconnecting
A connected platform sometimes needs reconnecting without being fully disconnected — most often because it was connected before a newer capability (like publishing or an analytics scope) was added, so the original authorization doesn't include it. Creaon shows a plain-language notice on the tile explaining what reconnecting will enable, and a status of "Reconnect needed" if the connection itself has actually expired or been revoked. Reconnecting repeats the same authorization flow with the current, full permission set.
Disconnecting
Disconnecting removes the connection from Creaon immediately and revokes the authorization with the platform where that's supported. Your platform password was never shared with or stored by Creaon in the first place.
