TikTok
Connecting TikTok, what analytics and publishing actually require, and the privacy behavior automatic TikTok posts follow.
Overview
TikTok connects through TikTok's own Login Kit — a standard sign-in-and-approve flow, not a multi-step account lookup like Instagram's.
Connect TikTok
From Connected Accounts, choose Connect TikTok, sign in on TikTok's own screen, and approve the requested permissions.
What Creaon can access
- Your basic profile and display name.
- Extended profile fields and your account totals (followers, following, likes, video count).
- A list of your videos with per-video stats (views, likes, comments, shares).
- Permission to publish videos on your behalf.
Analytics
Per-video stats and account totals both sync once connected. A connection made before either of these was added won't have them yet — Creaon shows "Reconnect TikTok to enable analytics" in that case.
Publishing
TikTok publishing is video-only (MP4 or MOV) with a caption length limit, through Content Studio or a scheduled Calendar slot.
TikTok's own posting permissions require review by TikTok before they're fully available, and can be limited for accounts outside that review. If publishing isn't available yet on your connection, this is why.
Privacy on automatic posts
A video published automatically through the Calendar always uses the most private visibility option your TikTok account currently offers (typically "Only me") — Creaon never chooses a public option on your behalf without you doing it yourself. If your account doesn't offer a private option at all, the post falls back to manual instead of guessing.
Scheduling a video for automatic TikTok publishing also serves as your one-time confirmation that you have the rights to any music in it — the same way connecting the platform is your go-ahead for Creaon to publish other scheduled content, not a separate checkbox per post.
Disconnect & reconnect
Disconnecting removes the connection and revokes it with TikTok. Reconnecting repeats the Login Kit flow and refreshes your granted permissions.
Troubleshooting
- Analytics missing after connecting — an older connection may predate the analytics permissions; reconnect.
- A scheduled post falls back to manual with "no private option" — your TikTok account doesn't currently offer the private visibility automatic publishing requires.
- A video fails with a media error — TikTok publishing only accepts MP4 or MOV video.
